Often tempted to go for a sober month - but then.... sorry, no.

I hear all the pros and cons on this topic and I come bearing a solution - its called intermittent fasting. Like flexitarians we partake in the rosé pool but only on the weekends. Week days are booze free and let me tell you what will help (because we all know that a Wednesday night dindins and work rant needs a glass in hand).

Step 1) buy a Sodastream.

Step 2) buy beautiful new glasses (I recommend ludicrously expensive Country Road ones) and fill with delicious bubbly water.

Step 3) Add a smidge of bitters or slice of lemon or cucumber.

Step 4) lament the days you were 22 and drinking a litre of box wine did not send a sniff of a headache your way.

I feel this will be one of those things like finding 'work life balance' that we will never get right. Embrace the ups and downs - life is to be lived, not portion controlled x

It’s balance you’re spot on! Finding a good mix that works rather than feast or famine! Maybe I need to up my soda stream game too 😂 it’s verrrrry lo-fi

Gawd I love this! I have been tempted only by the afore-mentioned dewy skinned friends et al who rave about how wonderful they feel after a month off. Alas, I only managed a week. There's faaaa-aaar too much going on this time of year (including a birthday) and then in March it's school hols and then April we must drink Swedish aquavit for Easter... and so the year goes! But bloody well done you. It is one of my bucket list plans (although I fear I might kicking said bucket is more likely to happen first) x

It’s those damn dewy skinned friends!! Although one of these exact creatures messaged me after this newsy to say: My word for 2023 is ‘intentional’. In everything I do; making intentional choices and drinking is one of those. I kinda loved this take because it allows for intentional aquavit as much as anything else! 🎉
